Why us

We were moulded by this problem.

We have been studying for years how to help athletes perform when it matters. We didn't start with a machine - we started with the problem, and the science of how skill is really developed. The robot is how we finally deliver it.

We come from the hardwood floor

Careers in basketball and sports physiotherapy working with athletes. We lived the problem of static, boring training aids and tried to solve it without the right tools.

We know the science

Human movement science, motor learning and skill acquisition are our native language, not a paragraph added afterwards.

We have the access

Direct relationships with the coaches, trainers and athletes who will put the first units on the floor.

The science

Skill is emergent, not memorised.

Skill is not a program stored in the brain. It emerges when an athlete interacts with the constraints of a live task in a game-like environment, through a constant perception-action loop between the athlete, the task and the environment.

Take the reading out and you take the skill out. A dead cone removes the perception half of that loop entirely, which is why the drill can look sharp and the game can still fall apart. Everything REAKTA does is aimed at putting the loop back into every rep.

Why it's different

The one row nobody else can claim.

We are pre-seed and building deliberately - looking for the founding cohort, mentorship, and the right early partners.
